Torin Aluminum Jack Stands Review

I bought these jack stands initially to help me service the brakes on our Honda CR-V. They have been a delight to use, and each time I use them I enjoy how lightweight they are. They are also compact, which makes storing them easier. I have loaned them out a couple of times too, and each time I do, I am very happy that I got the lightweight aluminum jack stands instead of their steel counterparts. I have used them on our Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Extreme (JLUR) a few times as well, and they are tall enough for that too which is a plus.
There are a couple of negatives, but I still love them, all and all. The rubber pads, each sold separately here, that you might wish to purchase to keep from scratching the paint on the underside of your vehicle where they make contact, are kind of expensive. The other slightly negative thing is that I don’t think that they are quite as adjustable as some of the traditional steel jack stands. However, if I had it to do over, I would still buy these. I really like them.
Pros:
- Lightweight
- Easy to store & transport
- A pleasure to use
Cons:
- Rubber pads for the top are expensive
- Not quite as adjustable as other jack stands
